Dublin Toy and Train Fair : Takes place on the 13th Feb from 10.00am at Clontarf Castle just 2 miles from Dublin City Centre. Now celebrating its 12th year  the fair offers collectable toys of every variety including Corgi and Dinky,Guest Posting Construction favourites like Meccano and trains by Hornby and Marklin. Also on display will be film annuals from the 1940’s – 1960’s

Six Nations Rugby Tournament : On  Sunday 13th February 2011, Ireland host the French at the recently opened Aviva Stadium (formerly Lansdowne Road).

St Patricks Festival 2011 17th – 20th March :  The Saint Patrick’s Festival in Dublin attracts huge crowds of local and international visitors alike each year. It’s a time to be proud to be Irish, with family events, Irish language events, street spectacles and  the big attraction, the St Patrick’s Day Parade.


Six Nations Rugby Tournament: On  Saturday 19th March  5.00pm, Ireland will host England at the Aviva Stadium in what is  the most eagerly awaited match of the Six Nations Tournament for Irish Rugby fans.

Great Ireland Run : On Sunday 10th April from The Phoenix Park in Dublin, the ever popular charity event will attract huge numbers of sports fans and celebrities who will compete in the 10km.

UEFA Europa League Final 2011: On Wed 18 May Dublin will host a major European club final for the first time in a tournament which includes English Premier sides Liverpool FC and Manchester City. Dublin Writers Festival 2011: 31 May-05 Jun. Venues include The National Concert Hall, Project Arts Centre and features live literature through readings, discussions and talks.

Flora’s Women’s Mini Marathon : This event, started in 1983 will take place on 6th June 2011. It is the largest all women’s event in the world.


Bloomsday Festival 2011:  16th Jun. Celebrating the actions of the famous James Joyce novel, Ulysses the festival continues until the 19th June. Participants dress up and visit locations in the book, listening to readings and connecting with the famous novel in different ways.

Adidas Dublin City Marathon: The 32nd Dublin city Marathon is scheduled to take place on the 31st October 2011. Run through the Georgian streets of Dublin, the event attracts in the region of over 10,000 runners annually.
