Landing pages are different from home pages,Affiliate Marketing Tools - Landing Pages Articles landing are specifically destinated to capture leads for a newsletter or sale a specific product, and make no attempt to give visitors a different option.

The term usually used for a landing page when it's purpose is to capture leads is "squeeze page." A squeeze page is a page designed to get names and email addresses, is usually smaller than a landing page, and has an opt-in form in sight when the page loads.

The success of the affiliate marketers depends on these landing pages. If your plan id to sell a product online, you must create attractive landing pages, with a strong call to action. Your landing pages main goal must be making the visitor to become a subscriber or a buyer.

In the case of the squeeze pages, these should contain an an opt-in form, preferable in the top side of the browser, a brief introduction and description, (a long description might be useful, but the web surfers are well known for their lack of patience, and for the speed with which they switch the web pages, so, better make it short), a picture of the product, a call to action, your name or signature and a form of contact such an email address. A form of contact will always give confidence to the visitors. The opt-in form should also be brief, ask them just the first name and the email address, and don't forget to specify that you are against spam.

When we are talking about a sales page, your description must be longer, you should give full details about the product or service you are selling and to put the accent on the benefits of the customers when he will buy that product. Give also full details about the delivery mode, shipping, if is the case, and the support you are offering. Try to maintain the landing page focused strictly on the product or service you are promoting or selling and do not distract the attention of the visitors with other things

The best way to ensure your success is to create more versions of the same landing page and to test which model works best. Sometimes just one short paragraph converts better, sometimes you may see that long descriptions are more profitable. It's up to you to testing them frequently and to come up with new versions all the time. If you want to find out more about landing pages, visit my site.
