Sunya Birth Control Pill – An Overview

Combined contraceptive pills are a type of contraceptive pill, one of the three hormonal contraceptive methods. These pills have become very popular amongst women, as they are easy to take and use. The synthetic oestrogen present in this pill is ethinylestradiol (20 micrograms) and the synthetic progestogen is gestodene (75 micrograms).

Sunya 20/75 consists of a third generation progestogen, which makes it easier for women to take this pill. It is especially suitable for women who have not been able to take a pill previously. The gestodene present in this pill also reduces the risk of developing side effects of this pill. Sunya also helps in improving the PMS symptoms that you are suffering from. This pill has also been proven an effective treatment for skin conditions such as acne and hirsutism – excessive facial growth. This pill also reduces the risk of you developing cancers of the ovaries and endometrium.

Ideally, it is recommended that you should start taking Sunya pills from the very first day of your period. This is because it ensures immediate protection against pregnancy. However, if you start taking the pill up to the fifth day of your period, you will not be protected immediately. You will be required to use an additional method of contraception for the next seven days. The pill, once started, is to be continued for the first three weeks (21 days) of your 28 day menstrual cycle. You are to take a break of seven days following the 21 days, during which you will have withdrawal bleed.

Sunya pills, like other combined pill, although effective in preventing you from being pregnant, may not be suitable for all women. If you are suffering from certain medical conditions, it is possible that you doctor or pharmacist may not recommend the pill for you. The pill may not be advised for use if you have a history of blood clots. Women suffering from hypertension, benign liver tumours or diabetes may not be recommended Sunya 20/75. Health problems such as circulatory disorders, intolerance for lactose or history of pancreatitis are also reasons why you many not be recommended this pill.

Just as Sunya pills may not be suitable for all women, this pill can also cause certain side effects in women using this pill. Although you may experience side effects of this pill, they are usually mild and disappear once your body gets used to the medication. The most commonly experienced side effects of Sunya 20/75 include fluid retention, nausea, migraines and acne. Some of the rare side effects of this pill include pancreatitis, vomiting and hypertension.
