Advertising Made Simple

If you are just starting out in business, don't get all bent out of shape and worked up about advertising. It doesn't have to a difficult and expensive task. There are some easy things that you can use right away. Promotional products will get you started off right. When customers see that you have invested in products that bear the company logo, they will surely be impressed. It says that you mean to stay.

First, if you want to truly promote your business then completely skip the step of buying traditional business cards.  This type of business advertising is very ineffective and this is why, it is very easy to toss a business card in the trash and move on.  Many times this happens within moments of the initial business contact and then your information is gone forever.  A much better solution to this problem is to have your business card printed on a refrigerator magnet that will last.  People will be reluctant to toss them out and will more than likely stick them in full view for future reference and best yet, they only cost slightly more than traditional business cards so this is a small investment for a much larger impact.

You will be needing to write on the job, and may need other office supplies too. Don't go giving all your money to the office supply store. Whatever you don't use of these supplies can be given to people as a promotion. If you buy a nice looking pen in a bright color, you could pair it with a promotional pad of sticky paper of the same color. Tie them up with a ribbon and you have a cute gift.

Don't forget about clothing. There are tons of different items that you can have printed or embroidered. If you are a casual sort of business a t-shirt is nice. You can make it as cool as you want. Imagine a lawn service company that all the employees wear shirts with smiley flowers. That would be a hit. You could also have a cap with a happy daisy embroidered on it that matches the shirt.

These are just a few of the many different ways that you can use promotional items to advertise for your new business.  And if you are running an internet business then you can still use the methods listed above to promote your business, but also make sure to put promotional items in with orders placed by your current customers.  Putting a little something extra in the package will let them know that you appreciate their business and that is a really big bonus.
