From woodblock printing technology to modern industrial printing technology

There is no doubt that printing is one of the greatest cultural inventions of mankind. There is a great deal of evidence that ancient printing was first invented by Chinese people. Today, China is still the largest printing factory in the world, and almost half of the world's books are printed in China. But like many industries, China is a printing power but not a printing power. Brilliant ancient Chinese printing

The earliest printing technique in China was block printing. Most experts believe that this kind of printing was born from the ancient Chinese seal and rubbings. It is difficult to verify when block printing began. The earliest existing engraving book in China is the Vajra Sutra printed in 868 at the end of Tang Dynasty, but there is a Buddhist sutra printed in 770 ad in Japan. As we all know, Japan's engraving printing is passed on from China. Therefore, before the middle of the 8th century, some people even thought that there was engraving printing in the Sui Dynasty in the 6th century.

Modern printing technology

Today, Germany, Japan and the United States are the three major printing industries. And the equipment and technology are very advanced and complex. German printing machine three giants: Heidelberg, gaobao, Manroland; Japanese three giants: Komori, Mitsubishi, Akiyama. In terms of influence, Heidelberg is absolutely the largest, with a very high market share.

In addition to the traditional offset printing, there are many new directions in the current printing technology, such as UV technology, pod printing method and so on. Although this industry is not as concerned as the chip industry, the technology dependence in this field is no worse than the chip industry.
