Postcard templates hardly tell you the right way to do . They will tell you the right design basics,How to Create a Highly Durable Postcard Articles but they will not tell you what paper materials, inks and other postcard printing choices to use to create that color postcard properly. If your aim however, is to create a durable postcard, then you are reading the right reference. I am going to teach you here all the things that you need to know to create a highly durable postcard for your own purposes. Let me start by the particular template that you are using.

1. Use a professional postcard template by default – Durable postcards are made from professional postcard templates. These types of layouts have become standard templates not only because they look beautiful but also because they have been proven durable and easier to distribute through the postal service. The easier it is to distribute the less damage it gets from the distribution process. So if you want a good base for a durable custom postcard, use a template by default.

2. Avail of thicker and heavier postcard paper – Now, the most direct way to make durable color postcards is to avail of thicker or heavier postcard paper.  Not all postcard printing companies carry a wide variety of paper materials. So make sure you ask first for paper options before you commit to printing with any printer. Try to get the thickest and heaviest grade of paper if you want durable full color postcards.

3. Apply protective coatings – Besides the paper, keep in mind that you should also be able to choose and apply protective coatings to your color postcards. These chemical coatings can vary from printer to printer, but basically these are special add on materials to the paper that make them glossy, and more highly resistant to moisture and dirt. This basically locks in the paper, making it look better all the time as it shrugs off common moisture and dirt contamination. This is a must for a durable postcard of course.

4. Make inks glossy – You should also decide on making the inks of your color postcard glossy. While this may seem like just a luxury option for most postcards, having glossy inks actually add durability to the design of the

These glossy inks not only make the postcard cover look impressive, they also add another layer of moisture and dirt resistance to your prints. This means that your color covers will not fade too easily as the postcard gets exposed to the environment. Moreover, they make the postcard more memorable to people just because of that impressive print, helping them become more “durable” in their memories

5. Use the best options on BOTH sides – Finally, making durable custom postcards means applying all the tips above on BOTH SIDES of your print. This is an important thing to note since many printers only apply these special elements to the cover of the postcard only. To help maintain wthat integrity and full durability of your postcards, both sides must have equal and tough protection. So keep this in mind as you choose your postcard printing options.

Now you are ready to print highly durable full color postcards. Just make sure that you cover all the options above and apply them to all your custom prints. It might get a bit expensive, but all your postcards should last a very long time in various amounts of conditions without too much trouble.
