Now that the weather is warm,Junk Removal Service vs. Dumpster Rental vs. Do-It-Yourself Articles sun is shining, isn’t it time to organize your home and get rid of the junk cluttering your valuable space? Make your home shine and stand out in your neighborhood by being the cleanest around.  How satisfying and rewarding it is to clear away the rubbish which may be lingering in your attic, yard, basement, garage, etc.

There are several ways to go about removing your junk:

1.       Rent a dumpster.

2.       Haul the junk off yourself.

3.       Hire a local junk removal company to haul off your junk.

Renting a dumpster is quite costly.  Weekly pricing is usually about $250- $400 for a 30 or 40 yard container.  The dumpster company will drop off the huge container in your driveway, which may seem great and convenient but there are some downsides.  Not all neighborhoods allow the presence of a dumpster in a private community.  Additionally, the weight of the dumpster may crack a concrete driveway when left for several days.  Also you have to spend your time and labor to carry and lug all your junk yourself to fill the dumpster.  This also may not be the most cost effective solution, since you pay the same price, whether the dumpster is full or partially full.

You also may elect to haul the junk off yourself.  This may be the best choice if you have a pickup truck and are physically able to manage the heavy lifting.  Depending on your location, there may or may not be a charge at the landfill to dispose of the junk.  Many people prefer to hire a professional junk removal company, to eliminate the need to do the back breaking work themselves.

Hiring a junk removal and hauling company can be a great choice for many people.  Many companies have an eco-friendly approach and additionally, they will take the responsibility to clean out your junk.  Most junk removal companies will provide an over-the-phone estimate of your job prior to arriving. When they show up with their box truck, you simply show them the trash you want thrown away and their crew will load your rubbish in their truck and haul it away.  Most junk removal companies charge by the volume and weight and the truck space it takes for your junk.  A full 14 foot box truck can fit on average about a 2 car garage full of junk.  A junk removal company gives you more flexibility than other options.  You pay a sliding scale, based on the volume of junk.  If you only have ¼ truck volume of junk, that’s all you pay for. You also have the option of placing the junk by the curb and many junk companies offer curb side pickup, picking up your trash at a discounted rate.  Or you can have most junk crews do all the heavy lifting,  removing junk directly from your home, garage, basement or attic.

Additional advantages of hiring a reputable rubbish removal service is that they recycle what they can.  This includes items such as old furniture, appliances, scrap metals, construction debris, paper, plastics, etc.  They also know which recycling centers accept items for recycling and which ones do not. For example, paint, tires, batteries, hazardous material, etc. need special consideration for proper disposal.  Most junk removal companies will haul away mostly anything, however because they are charged extra for some disposals, may charge slightly extra for disposal of hazard type materials.

The best part of hiring a junk removal company versus a dumpster rental is that you spend about the same amount of cash, yet your junk and clutter will be gone the same day. No dumpster will be sitting around on your property for a week or more, also none of the heavy lifting and labor is done by you. All the lifting and hauling is done by the junk guys staff.  Save your back, your driveway, your money! How? Well, by hiring a local eco-friendly waste removal company to help you organize and remove the clutter from your home or business. You will be glad you did!
