Submitting to the directories and search engines is a must for your site to get what traffic it needs to be successful. There are thousands of directories out there that you can submit a site to and search engines. You can study sites that are on the first page of search results and pick up lots of information. Such as links to partner sites, number of links and placement, are they easy to find. Make sure there isn't to much clutter. Do all the links work?
