You can’t go wrong with using promotional pens as giveaways at your next marketing campaign, benefit, or fund raiser.

Everyone knows that when they need a pen they need it right now and having a pen with your name and logo on it is a great way to market your business and help people out when they need something to write with quickly.

Unlike many other promotional items, promotional pens can be the perfect give away no matter the time of year or season.  Promotional pens make great holiday giveaways as they can be ordered in holiday perfect colors and with holiday graphics for that special touch.

Think about this, next to umbrellas pens are probably the most left behind and/or forgotten item in

the world.  It is no wonder that many businesses tie their pens down so that the absent minded shopper doesn’t walk off with them. But, that is the trick.  You want customers to walk off with your pens, because when they leave it somewhere it will continue to market your business to the next person who walks off with it.

Another plus for giving away promotional pens is that they can be bought in various levels of quality so that you can target your marketing to the level of consumer. For instance, let’s say that you have customers who do a lot of business with you every year.  For these customers, you can buy very high quality promotional pens.  These can be so high end that they can be designer promotional pens.

At the other end of the spectrum, you may want to use promotional pens as giveaways at school carnivals, or to be thrown at parades etc.  In these types of situations, you may not want to pay very much for the promotional pens and you have that choice.  You can have your business name and phone number, or whatever you want, printed on high-end pens as well as lower cost pens.

The key is to target your promotional pens and to buy the highest quality pens you need for each circumstance.  It is important to remember that your promotional pens will reflect upon you and your business.  You do not want to save a little money and buy lower costs promotional pens and then end up having them reflect poorly on your business. When you have decided what quality of pens you want to giveaway it is a good idea to see if the promotional item company will let you see samples of them.  A pen can look very good in a catalogue or on the web and show up at your place of business not being at all what you had in mind.  A little preview can save a lot of trouble and embarrassment.
