A large company located in a smallish city wanted to do something positive for the community. Someone saw a story about the local foster kids having nothing more than big garbage bags to carry all their meager belongings around in when they changed living locations. So, these guys decided that an inexpensive solution to this issue would be to provide something to these kids for carrying their stuff. Since the kids don't have much they opted for some promotional tote style bags. After they donated a bunch of these the local news got a hold of the story and did a piece on them. From their small bit of helping out came some pretty big attention.

When the news people did the story they did interviews and showed pictures of the bags and the happy kids. There were other company's that were so impressed that they got together with the people that donated the bags and they decided to stuff them with goodies. It had a snowball effect and soon these kids were receiving bags with donations of all sorts of delightful things. All because one company wanted to do something good.

You never know when something will blossom in such a good way. It is nice to do something good. Especially for a segment of the population that needs it so badly. It is just icing on the cake when all the positive attention brings more good things. Those kids needed the bags. They also needed more items and ended up with a lot that meant something to them. And the business that started it all enjoyed a nice boost in business for a long time.
