It was not the best of day for Loren Conrad, but his day was just about to get better when the idea of using promotional pens entered his mind. “Why hadn’t I thought of them earlier!” he thought.

It had been a tough week for Loren as he had racked his brain trying to figure out a way to get the word out about his beloved Tigers team and still not lose his shirt in the process.  He had a very tight budget to work with and felt he needed to pull a rabbit out of a hat to live up to his promise.  See,The Wonder of Promotional Pens Articles Loren had spoken up before actually considering what he was volunteering to do and before he knew it, he had been elected the chairman of promotions for his team playing in the big upcoming basketball tournament in the community.  Later on, after he had learned what he could spend to put his Tigers first in the public eye, he wondered what he had gotten himself into.

Each team entered in the tournament was given an opportunity to not only walk away with first place, but also to receive a trophy for the best group to gain attention during the tournament for their chosen charity.  In the Tigers case their cause happened to be the town's Boys' Club and, struggling financially, the club was not known for its overflowing coffers.  With Loren's small budget for marketing this group, he was excited to come up with the idea of using promotional pens to get these boys into the public eye.

Loren now had a plan and set to work with a smile on his face.  First, he checked into what the cost would be to order several boxes of promotional pens.  He was elated at the small cost involved.  Next he thought long and hard about just the right inscription that would capture the attention so badly needed for the Boys' Club.  After several minutes he finally hit upon the perfect slogan: The Boys' Club- Please Support Our Leaders of Tomorrow!  He felt confident that by handing out these great promotional tools at the tournament, that he would surely reach many supporters and also give them something useful in the bargain.

The weekend of the tournament was a great success.  Not only did the Tigers win first place in the tournament by narrowly defeating their rivals the Titans, but Loren's plan of using the promotional pens turned out even better than he could have hoped.  The crowd was so supportive of the Boys' Club and what a great investment keeping it going would be for the community that the Tigers were also voted first place as the team with the best cause to rally behind and support!  Loren had learned his lesson well and in the future was nickname the “Promotional Pen Guy” as he used this tactic again and again when he needed to advertise and promote other worthwhile causes.  Loren was proud of the moniker and told his friends they could just call him PPG from now on.
