There are things besides cloths that come and go as fads and trends. We see it in popular music as well as movies and television. Whenever something hits big,When Your Looking To Stand Out From The Crowd, Start A New Fad Articles in any sort of entertainment media, there are a slew of copycats almost before you can blink your eyes. It often saturates the marketplace before everyone gets a chance to enjoy what it is pushing and tires everyone out.

You can see this with popular music, where a band or artist has a particular sound and the next thing you know the jammed are full of artists resonance. The same goes for movies and television series. It happened in the mid-eighties, when ninja movies were very popular, and the next thing you know, there are half a dozen movies ninja at the multiplex. It can be annoying because when you see it that frequently, you get overloaded with the theme or sound and it is no longer something special.

Some people have found something new and before long, enough new people have picked up on it and it catches throughout the country. Sooner or later, if it is quite strange, people will get over it and the lock on the new trend just around the corner. It is the need and desire to be different, but need to be the same which allows these trends to take on like wildfire, then settle down.

The people who started the trend will stand out from the crowd and be a little different, maybe a little eccentric, but other people grab onto the trend and try to make it his own. At that time, they have used up its welcome and many people have fallen sick of it and moved onto something new and fresh. But the trend is usually a few brave kids, trying something different that actually is not the norm, and everybody knows that is the last thing most kids want to, and then others see and love it and it will be in the trend.

So it is two opposites of the spectrum, wanting to stand apart and wanting to fit in that makes up the lifecycle of a trend. The problem is, these trends often tend to be a bit on the unusual side. If it is a way to set you apart, being weird usually does the trick.
