Aside of the utility services (a comprehensive guide can be found here ),A Few Things You Should Do Before You Move Articles there are a few more things you should take care of before you move.

Notification of Change of Address

For some reason changing your address over the phone does not always work. Some companies have a box you can check on your statement for “change of address”. I found this to work very well. Most credit card web sites will allow you to change your address online if you are set up to make your payment online.

Setting a Move Date

You may not have a choice about the date that you have to relocate. Summer moves are nice for the northerner's because you avoid moving in the cold weather and possibly snow, however, you may have to move in the rain. If you are moving of country, transport rates are usually higher in the summer. Winter moves can be a challenge because of the weather, but you will have less expensive transport costs if you are moving out of country.

As soon as you set a date, you should immediately call a few moving companies to come and give you an estimate. In order to get the date that you want, you have to give the moving companies at least two month notice. By planning ahead, you can secure the date that you need. Many people that are renting or selling a house need to be out by a certain date, so getting the move date set in stone with a moving company is very important.

Deal With the Junk

Usually, there are things that you don't want to move to a new premise. That could be old furniture, old appliances, broken items, and etc. But no matter the type of junk, you could use professional rubbish removals London services to get rid of all those unwanted items. The clearance experts not only will collect your rubbish, but they will recycle it, too.

One of the most difficult and stressful aspects of moving is to coordinate your termination of your current residence, your moving truck arriving at the proper time and getting into your new residence on time. You must have good communication, and really stress to landlords and rental people that firm dates are necessary. When you are buying or selling a house, it can be very hard to coordinate around a closing date. You may have to stay with friends or in an extended stay motel if you cannot get into your new residence at the time that you need.
