Childhood Seeing

Psychics are people who have the ability to pick out information and see things that are normally not visible to the non-psychic eyes. Being psychic is a big responsibility as it is a gift that can be used to protect and safeguard others in general and loved ones in particular. Psychic ability has been existent since time immemorial but understanding it as a skill and not stigmatize it is something that very few people do. There have been times in human history when displaying any psychical ability was frowned upon and sometimes even meant social ostracization. 

It is a common belief that almost all of us are born with the ability to see much more than that which is obvious. This ability is very strong in some children and because of it they might experience happenings that do not fall into the term “normal experiences”. Most of these children are born of parents who have the same ability but there are a few children who come by it purely by chance. Parents who are psychic will be able to identify the ability of their children early on. How they handle this fact determines how the child handles being psychic too. Understanding and absolute belief in what the child says or does is the first step that parents should take. Psychic children are just like all other children, they require total loving care and support from their parents.

Sometimes children born of non psychic parents too exhibit psychical abilities. Handling such children gently and with sensitivity is very crucial as the child can learn to develop its skill or totally snuff it out depending solely on the reception and acceptance that his/her skills receive at home. Parents who ignore the child’s special abilities or scream at the child and call the child “liar” “freak” or any such equivalent terms are sure to frighten the child into thinking that what it sees and perceives is something wrong and horrible.  Branding the child as someone who is not to be trusted because the parents do not understand psychic ability or because their religion does not accept things such as this, has been the primary reason for many psychic children keeping their abilities under wraps and sometimes snuffing them out totally.

The most prominent abilities that psychic children display are

·         Empathy or the ability to feel another’s pain. Children who cry when they hear other children cry, show extreme compassion to animals and even plants, are able to address a person’s pain even when the person does not speak of it, are displaying definite signs of  being empaths.

·         Telepathy or the ability to read minds. Children who respond even as one is starting to call out to them, finish sentences even as one is talking and seeing things which someone else might be seeing are doing so because they are telepathic.

·         Clairvoyance or the ability to see the future. Most psychics are clairvoyant and as children display this skill more obviously than when as adults. This ability to see the future and predict something is perhaps the most difficult for children as it exposes them to things that they are not able to understand or identify with.

·         Mediumship or the ability to communicate with spirits. This is perhaps the most frightening of abilities to have as a child as it deals with psychic children being able to see and talk to people who no longer exist on the earthly plane.
