Many healers recommend that spiritual healing be understood as one aspect of an overall and integral medicine model where several therapies are used to treat a condition.

Various approaches are used to treat different conditions however the overall effect is dependent on the patients faith. Some healers work by altering the physical reality in which spiritual healing comes about. Spiritual healers believe that it takes the power of the mind to bring about the nonlocal transfer of positive energy that facilitates the healing.
