How time flies,How to Choose the Right Colors for Your Prom Dresses Articles I can still remember the daughter of my neighbor preparing for her prom this year. It is the time for another prom night – prom dresses 2013. It is just around the corner. Prom is probably the most meaningful occasion except for the wedding ceremony. School students are looking forward to the prom since their first day at junior school. Girls like prom night even more. They would like to show off their newly bought prom attires. While, for some young ladies who are looking forward to the magic night at the junior or senior prom, the challenge in finding the perfect prom dress lie in the color but not the style. It is true some young ladies have a signature color and are set on wearing a gorgeous blue prom dress or an elegant black gown with colored trim, but if you have no idea of which color to choose, you’d better refer to some of the suggestions listed below. It will help narrow down your choices.

First of all, you need to look for colors which complement your skin tone. If you find your skin takes on a yellowish or beige tint against white clothing or in natural light, you should better opt for have a warm tone attire that is best enhanced by rich, earthy colors like red and brown. Cooler skin tones that appear bluish or darker in bright light may look best wearing similar  colors. So I would like to recommend you pink as well as blue.

Secondly, you may use the eye color method. As a matter of fact, it is not uncommon for people to wear colors that match their eyes and therefore bring out the color. Dark eyes, for instance, should be matched up with dramatic black prom gowns or rich shades like bronze.

Thirdly, if you are planning to hide the weight of your body, do not feel like that you will look slimmer by wearing a black prom gown. While people assert that black is "slimming," you may not believe, it is not always the case. What's more important is that the cut of your dress and how it is designed to emphasize your best features. If you are wearing a plus size prom attire, don't be afraid to choose a bold color that goes well with your skin or eyes.

Last but not the least, ask a friend or relative with sharp sense on the fashion stuff to help with a color test. Let a critical eye judge which colors you’re your type and transfer it to prom outfit you are going to buy.
