Like it or not, cell phones have become the norm today, and they will never be surpassed or at least not during the lifetimes of anyone reading this.

We may have the technology for an even more convenient and accessible form of communication in the future but it is unlikely that the cell phone will be surpassed any time soon. That would be in the work of science fiction films.

We’ll leave that up to the directors of big budget movies and of multi-trillion dollar science programs out there trying to find a way to transmit signals through pure thought. For right now we are stuck with cell phones. While we are in this phase though we might as well get the best phones out there on the market.

The best cell phones are ones that won’t break easily and ones that have many functions,Looking for New Cell Phones Articles but you need to determine what is right for you and not worry about anyone else and what their cell phone does. While the iPhone is a really cool gadget and has plenty of bells and whistles and all kinds of apps, let’s face it, it seems more like a gift for a high school student than anyone else. Aside from the ability for it to make calls, it is essentially a very small portable device that can go on the internet, give you directions to places, and call people. But do you really need seven different alarms themed after Toy Story and The Social Network? No you do not. Most things the phone offers are superfluous.

In fact, you could probably get a GPS device for your car, an iPod that has internet access and a cell phone for a cheaper price tag than you could get the iPhone for and all together those devices would have the same functions as the iPhone and more. Of course there are some people out there that don’t have the time or the space and have special circumstances. These are the people that really need these types of phones, but my point is to determine what is right for you, not to go out getting something that you don’t need or won’t use.

When you are looking at cell phones the last thing you need to look at is the design. Of course you can make an exception for devices that are too big to fit in your pocket or something like that, but for the most part the design of something is just another excuse to put an even higher price tag on it. The cooler and sleeker something looks, the most a company can charge for it without justifying it.

Usually these phones will also have great features; they are not trying to totally cheat you after all. But if you end up purchasing something with twenty features and you are only going to use three and you know it, then you are just cheating yourself and that’s not fair to anyone. Cell phones are not only the way of the future, they are what we use now, and you are going to need to get in the game if you don’t already have one. And if you do, then it might be time to modernize even more.
