What is it with people continually insisting that less is more? This must be code for,Is Multi-tier Affiliate Marketing Better or Just More Hassle Articles I have no options, drive, or opportunity of getting more, and being satisfied with the sub-par is the only answer. The truth is that sometimes more is more, and a heck of a lot more. This is the case with multi-tiered affiliate marketing programs. While setting them up may take a deal more effort than single tiered programs, the reward can be exponentially greater once everything is in place and the commissions start rolling in.

With a run of the mill, single tiered affiliate marketing program, an affiliate marketer is paid a commission according to specific parameters guided by the program agreement. A pay per click (PPC) program, for example, pays an affiliate every time a web customer clicks through to the represented product or service’s website by way of an ad or link specifically set into action by that individual affiliate. A pay per sale (PPS) program, however requires that these customers follow through and actually purchase the product or service in order for said affiliate to actually receive compensation in the form of a percentage of the final sale. The company being represented uses specially designed software to track how many clicks or sales are due to an individual affiliate and dole out compensation accordingly. With a multi-tiered program, an affiliate would not only represent a product or company alone, but actually create their own program, enlisting others to represent the company or product as well. All communication and linking would happen through links on that affiliate’s site, thus expanding opportunities for sales and growth. Whenever the second line or tier makes a sale or motivates a click, the affiliate responsible for setting up the multi-tier program not only receives compensation for his or her effort, but also for the second tier affiliate; truly making money without expending effort besides the initial setup cost. The more recruits, the more chances for sales. An affiliate’s chances and income increase exponentially when the first line of affiliates enlisted, enlist their own affiliates, and so on. The trickling down of the income from all of the commissions ultimately will reach the initial affiliate that set up the second tier. There is no end to the amount of profit that can be gleaned from this sort of constructed web of affiliates, all the more so if the product or service being sold is actually of worth and useful to millions.
