This article is about the association between 1950s pin up girls and getting an oil change.

I think 1950s pin up girls are just so beautiful. They are sweet and seductive,1950s Pin Up Girls Always Make Me Think About An Oil Change Articles without showing too much skin. Another thing that I love about them is that they are much more a real looking woman shape then some of the models today. They have lovely curves about them. And almost all of them are soft looking, smiling. They look like they are just having fun, instead of looking fierce. They just seem like they are welcoming and someone that I'd love to be friends with.

And I think that right now the pin up girl look is coming back into popular culture. Many different people like that retro look, the high-waisted pants, the hairstyles, the Mad Men inspired clothes. And even some of the musical artists are turning to that look. For Katy Perry, she does that look just as well as many. She wears the retro clothes and hairstyle. And her fluffy, pop songs fit right in to that cute, fun pin up girl look and feel.

Though I will say, that some of my favorite pin up girl posters are the ones with the awesome cars. Pin up girls in cars, on cars, next to cars. I think that it is such a combination of power and sexiness. There is such passion and drive, yes pun intended. There are the soft curves of the woman and the hard, metal of the car itself. There are even the adorable patriotic pin up girls on the airplanes, dressed in the calf-high boots and military like uniform. Some of the pin up girls are saluting and have a hat on their heads at a jaunty angle.

The funny thing about pin up girls next to vehicles is that, while I am appreciating the lovely picture that they make, I can't help but think of my own car and if it needs an oil change. Ridiculous I know, but it starts me thinking about how many miles it has been since I have had my oil changed. Or wait, isn't there a time period that you have to have an oil change by? Or is it whichever comes first, the mileage or the time period?

Well regardless, I know that the combination of a pin up girl and a car will forever make me think of my own car and dealing with its maintenance problems. Every time I turn around it seems like something else is wrong. That check engine light is always coming on and freaking me out while I am driving. Sometimes it's the brakes, which I think is one of the more scary problems that can happen with a car. I have a fear that one of these days my breaks will go out and I will go careening through a stop light, hitting other people or getting hit by them. I think that is terrifying, because I will have no control over the car itself. At that time, even if I have been a good driver, it won't matter.
