2010 Mercedes Benz R class is not considerably redesigned from previous model. This is a slow-selling wagon, which is larger in size among the two medium sized sport utility vehicles.

It shares its standard design with the M-Class and provides seating facility for seven passengers. This vehicle is longer by about 12 inches in wheelbase and longer than other M-Class vehicles by about 15 inches.

Engine Specs

This vehicle is available in two models,2010 Mercedes-Benz R-Class  Articles which are designed with standard all-wheel drive. The model R350 BlueTEC is designed with a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 engine for 210 horsepower, whereas the other model R350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine for 268 horsepower. Both engines work with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The maximum towing capacity of each engine is 3,500 pounds. Each model has 2nd-row bucket seats and 50/50 split 3rd-row bench, which are foldable in nature to enhance the space. A second row bench seat is available to enhance passenger capacity to 7.

Coming to features, 2010 Mercedes Benz R class has a modern antilock braking system, traction control, antiskid system, front- and rear-side airbags, and curtain side airbags. The interior has a DVD entertainment system with voice controls. This system is connected to a navigation system for real time updates, a wireless cell phone link, 6-disc CD/DVD changer, HD radio, a hard drive to store digital music files, and MP3 connectivity.
