Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death in the USA. As the saying goes, Accidents happen anytime, anywhere. USA has an annual car accident rate of 14 Million accidents.

Here are the top 10 Worst Car Accidents in the USA for the year 2012:


August 11 2012 Oklahoma City,2012 Top 10 Worst Car Accidents in the US Articles Oklahoma.
A Chevrolet Camaro carrying Five Indian nationals that were software professionals as well hit a tractor and burst into flames. They have all been identified as Jaswanth Reddy Subbayyagari, Phanindra Gade, Anurag Anthati, Srinivas Ravi and Venkat. Unfortunately none of them wore any seat belt.


Thanksgiving Day Texas Car Collision.
Around 140-150 cars collided that resulted in more than 80 people injured and 2 casualties in Interstate 10 south west of Beaumont City. Debra and Vincent Leggio both senior citizens were the unlucky ones crushed by a tractor trailer while inside their Chevy Suburban SUV.


July 23, 2012 Southeast Texas.
A highway accident involving a Ford pickup and almost two dozen people left 14 dead and 9 injured in southeast Texas. There were no other vehicles involved, no alcohol intoxication issues and weather condition was okay at that time.


May 7, 2012 St. Louis, MO.
4 out of 5 passengers died on the spot after a car collision in a highway in St. Louis. All were graduating students of Rolla University and were Indian nationals. The driver as well as the only survivor stated that he lost control of the vehicle that went sideways before colliding.


Jul 10, 2012 Knoxville, Tennessee.
A speeding truck on the other side of the road struck a family traveling to a mountain resort city in Tennessee that killed a medical professional couple and their son. The only remaining survivor was their daughter who suffered major trauma and was in critical condition.


October 8, 2012 Long Island, New York.
A 17 year old learner’s permit holder (student driver’s license) driving his newly bought 2012 Subaru car killed four of his high school friends while passing through an accident prone area also known as the Dead Man’s Curve and lost control because of the steep turn.


July 22, 2012 New York City Crash.
2 children (aged 8 and 9) assisted by 3 adults were reported dead on the scene in an early morning New York City car crash. They were aboard a 2008 Mercedes Benz SUV when they smashed into a concrete pillar before flipping and were trapped inside the car before bursting in flames.


January 29, 2012 Gainesville, Florida.
A pileup of five cars and six tractor-trailers twisted on top of each other and left 10 others dead occurred in a Florida Highway that stretched for nearly a mile. Some vehicles were covered in flames and smokes which made it difficult for rescuers to recover those trapped in their cars.


September 4, 2012 Southern Alamance County, North Carolina.
Megan Riggs, was in labor when she was rushed by her husband Casey to the nearest hospital. On the way to the hospital, heavy rain poured and was the cause of their vehicle to lose control and hit a tree. The victim was not wearing seatbelt and was later declared dead on arrival in the hospital. 


July 24, 2012 McAllen, Texas.
A truck carrying 23 suspected illegal immigrants from all across South America crashed after the front tire of the truck exploded. 15 of them died and left 9 others seriously wounded.


According to Arizona car accident attorneys, these incidents would not have happened if they were following road safety tips. Among them are checking the car before heading to their destination, seat belt wearing and so much more.
