The six-speed automatic of the recently launched 2015 LDV G10with Android Car Stereo van has been joined by a $25,990 five-speed manual option,2015 LDV G10 manual pricing and specifications Articles cutting the Chinese van’s price of entry by $4000.

In June, the G10 launched at $29,990 drive-away with a 165kW/330Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine and a ZF-sourced six-speed auto, the combination making it a unique proposition in the Australian market.

Now, LDV’s Australian distributor Ateco has announced the launch of a five-speed manual model, priced from $25,990 drive-away for ABN holders.

Unlike the automatic model, however, the manual-equipped entry-level G10 is driven by a less powerful 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, producing 105kW and 210Nm.

Despite the shortfall in power and torque, LDV Australia general manager Dinesh Chinnappa believes that the entry one-tonne G10 has significant sales potential.

“In reality, we have not only undercut our competitors by a country mile, but we also open up significant new sales potential to what might otherwise be the used van market. The volume potential of the G10 at $25,990 is simply huge,” Chinnappa said.

Fuel consumption for the manual model is listed at 11.5L/100km, compared to 11.7L/100km for the automatic.

Both versions of the G10 claim a 1093kg payload, with a 5.2m³ cargo space that LDV claims can accommodate two standard pallets.

Standard features include a lift rear door, two sliding side doors, power steeering, a 7.0-inch LCD touch display, reversing camera, Bluetooth, Car DVD, air-conditioning and powered windows.

Safety equipment includes electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, airbags, roll movement intervention, parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Both variants are offered with a three-year/100,000km warranty, along with 24/7 roadside assistance. If installing anAndroid Car Gps in your car, that would be great!
