1.  Water- The most important thing that you can bring with you in case of an emergency is water. Be sure to pack a nice supply of water in the car with you and switch it out every couple days or so, so that it doesn’t ever go bad.

2.  Food- While water may be the most important thing that you can bring with you in case of an emergency, the second most important thing that you can have is a small supply of food. You never know how long you are going to be stuck on the side of th road and it is best to be prepared for anything.

3.  Blanket- When you are facing car troubles and you are stuck on the side of the road, you want to make sure that you are comfortable. If it is cold out you want to make sure that you have a blanket to wrap yourself up in to stay warm with. If you ever get stranded off the side of the road you can get a special reflective blanket that will help you to be more visible for those that may be searching for you.

4.  Light- If by chance you are stuck on the side of the road, having a flashlight or at least some candles with you can make your lives a lot easier. It is difficult to see a map, call for help, or even change a flat tire if you can’t see. Be sure to always pack a light with you so that no matter what you will be able to see, even in difficult times.

5.  First Aid and Knife- In the unfortunate event you are in a car accident one of the best things that you can take with you is a first aid kit and a knife. Even though it is hard to think of why you may need a knife, they actually can come in handy for several different situations. While a first aid kit won’t be able to help you overcome more serious injuries, it can for the most part take care of the average challenges that you could come across. If you are in a minor car accident and just get a few scrapes and bruises then a first aid kit will help you take care of the injuries until you can seek more thorough medical attention.
