Nissan’s latest 370Z sports car has been praised for its improved levels and luxury,All New Interior for the 2010 Nissan Altima Articles refinement, and overall quality. Although the 2010 Nissan Altima lacks the Z’s performance and athleticism, the new Altima does possess many of the same improvements in quality and refinement, despite the familiar look and design.

From the outside, the 2010 Nissan Altima has not changed dramatically. Among the changes are a new front fascia, updated grille, new wheels, and new paint colors to choose from. Aside from these relatively minor changes, the exterior of the 2010 Altima remains unchanged, which is not necessarily a disadvantage. The styling remains fresh and sporty, even next to newer competing sedans such as the Ford Fusion and Honda Accord.

One area that was vastly improved was the Altima’s interior. Like the Z, the previous generation lacked higher-quality materials and fell behind some of its competitors in terms of overall refinement. For 2010, fabrics and materials have all been updated. Not only do these changes make the Altima’s cabin feel more upscale, but option packages have also been updated to reflect more standard equipment, such as stability control.

The Nissan Altima has long been appealing for its more edgy styling and characteristics when compared to the relatively demur Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. The latest Altima is no exception as Nissan improved technology features along with overall refinement. The most notable feature is a new audio system that features a 4.3-inch color display. The Altima also provides iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, available XM radio, and also an available 9.3 gigabyte Music Box hard drive system for music storage.

Since the 2010 Nissan Altima has undergone a midlife refresh and hasn’t received many changes in terms of mechanics, the Nissan Altima will deliver the same competent handling and ride that we’ve all come to expect from this sedan. Under the hood is either a 2.5-liter 175 horsepower four cylinder engine, or a powerful 3.5-liter V6 that produces 270 horsepower – similar to the found in Memphis Nissan Murano crossovers. Transmission choices include a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission.

The Nissan Altima receives a much needed refresh for 2010. While there is plenty of tough competition from in this segment from the usual places, Nissan New Canaan CT admits new domestic and Korean offerings are also giving buyers more attractive choices than ever before. Luckily, the Altima remains the perfect choice for drivers that want a sedan that’s fun to drive, which is still rare in this segment.

Customers at a Tewkesbury Nissan dealership have certainly found that the changes to the updated Nissan Altima have paid off. Better quality and fresh styling, add to the Altima’s already stunning performance and solid value. At this dealership and others, Nissan’s modest updates will likely go far to help the Altima its role as this automaker’s best selling vehicle.
