Risks and Complications

Auto repair needs to be an exact science because the vehicle is transporting human lives. Mistakes and small glitches can lead to fatal accidents which may endanger those in the vehicle while it is moving. One possible risk of changing tires is a loose lug nut. Lug nuts are those nuts that secure the wheel to the automobile. Some cars have four while other kinds of transportation may reach up to six. Even if just one of these things is not securely fastened, there is a possibility that the rest will eventually loosen. Traveling at great speeds, a car can have an accident due to the sudden loosening of just one of the wheels. Any of the four or more wheels can have a loose lug nut and this can cause a fatal accident wherever the missing wheel may be located. One thing that can happen is that the wheel can separate from the car and can hit people at the side of the road or near it. The vehicle from which the wheel came from also runs the risk of getting into an accident especially if it is being driven at high speed.

Another auto repair risk that may occur is when the car owner might try to change the oil in the car or the brake fluid. The replacement of these things needs to be put back properly in order for them to fulfill their function. If there is a loose or missing screw, chances are they are not put back properly and the engine might fail to function properly. Things may run smoothly initially but sooner or later, the mistake will manifest itself and the engine might be damaged.

Trying to do one’s own auto repair on the lights might also lead to an inconvenience. Some vehicles’ headlamps may need to be placed at a certain angle or position to ensure that these are not blinding to any oncoming automobiles. The bulb might be positioned too high causing oncoming traffic to be blinded and unable to see momentarily. If the bulb is too low, the driver might not be able to see further ahead causing him to travel at a slower rate. Some headlights are tight enough that they maintain only one possible position for any bulb that is placed in it. This makes it convenient for those who want to try their hand at do it yourself auto repair. On the other hand, some owners might want to modify their headlights into white lights instead of the yellow ones that manufacturers recommend for their cars. White light might not function well in some weather conditions and may endanger the driver and passengers of the vehicle.
