When the vehicle owner sees a mechanic or technician lost in translation while using one of the equipment, gadgets or tools take this as a sign that he or she may not have been trained properly. The lack of the right equipment, especially the more basic ones, is also a sign that the establishment may not be up to par.

Other Signs
Other signs that one can look out for are the presence of other vehicles, the way that customers are treated and the certificates and permits of the auto repair shop. Car owners can take the presence of vehicles of the same or higher caliber as theirs as a good sign that the establishment knows what it is doing. The way that the entire staff treats each other and the customers in the building is also an indication of their professionalism and good will.
