2. Use Fcar heavy duty scanner,Upgrade Fcar software and hardware version, select Benz, enter control unit interface according to vehicle model, chassis and year model.

3.Select "Body" to enter

4.Select PSE Pneumatic system equipment to enter

5. If failed to enter expected interface in Step 4, pls check wire connection and try to re-enter. Select "Activations"

6. Select the 2nd option, Remote truck lid lock initialization.

7. According to tips, pls push trunk lid to maximum open position by hand before click "OK". Then click OK

8. Click "F3" to initialize

9. Initialization success

10.Press automatic control button on the back of trunk lid, and check whether initialization success; if not, pls follow steps to operate again.

When do function test, take note the starting conditions of each function test, if conditions are inconsistent, FCAR series products will be not available to do the function test. Mainly included:

1 Starting Fault Test:

1). Objective: To detect engine whether have the start failures.

2). Principle: Incorrect rail pressure, RPM signal, synchronization signal missing etc. all can result in engine start failure. We can find the reason through this test.

3). Test condition: engine can not start

4). Testing method: Starter Test Method: starter is driving engine to run about five seconds.

5). Result: FCAR auto scan tool can readout the reasons that engine can’t start, such as , No Speed signal etc..

2 Compressor test:

1). Principle: it mainly is to test gas-tight cylinder. We can do the analysis though the speed of each cylinder to check whether there is one cylinder working improperly especially for the cylinder with bad gas tight. but for the one only a little effect on the normal Engine working, we can use this take this tools to check which cylinder is good or bad.

2). Test points:

(1). Turn off injection function (means the testing process prevent the engine from ignition, it is performed by ECU software functions)

(2). Start the starter to boost the engine running measure, and record the piston TDC front to back within a certain angle movement time (it is performed by ECU software functions)

(3). If there is the cylinder leakage phenomenon, the piston movement speed due to leakage before TDC, the resistance will become small and accelerated; Oppositely piston speed will become decelerated due to leakage, expansion energy losses in the behind of TDC. Through catching the piston movement time at a certain angle of closing to TDC (the speed is faster, and the interval time is shorter), then can reflect the cylinder sealing performance
