One instance in which you might opt for this service is just before a long road trip, or when you notice that the ride is not very smooth anymore. Unless you know how to rotate the tires on your own, having this option can be quite helpful.

Many clubs also offer regular discounts on other services if you go to the car repair shop that they are affiliated with. Since the costs of repairs can add up, this may be worth it. If you need lots of engine work done, a new transmission, or even a few fluid flushes, you can expect to pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Compare the costs to join this type of club to the expense of unexpected vehicle repairs, as this will allow you to get the most for your money.

Not everyone should become a member at an auto club in their area. If you rarely drive, or do not own a vehicle, then free or discounted services may not be worth the cost to join.
