Another method of removing the dents left from hail damage is using a blow dryer. This can be used if you live in an area where sunlight is not as prevalent. You can aim the dryer in the direction of the dent and wait about 2 minutes between intervals. If you choose this method, make sure that you keep the lip of the blow dryer between 2-4 inches from the surface of the vehicle to avoid further damage to the vehicle's surface.

Using dry ice is another way that you can perform a car repair on the body of your vehicle after a damaging hailstorm. If you desire to use this method, you will need a hair dryer and a block of dry ice. This method works best when you put the block of ice on the surface for about 2 minutes and wait until the frost to accumulate around the area of the surface that is damaged. Then you need to remove the dry ice and warm the damaged frozen surface with the hair dryer until you see the dents disappear.

The best thing you can do to avoid having to repair your hail damaged vehicle is to not allow the damage to occur. This could include parking your car under some kind of shelter from the storm, but if a shelter is not available, then consider purchasing a cover for your vehicle made of a thick waterproof material so that car repair resulting from a hailstorm will not be necessary.
