For a first time the hatchback from ford has sure created enough waves across the auto circles. It has already bagged the ‘Car of the year 2010’,’Premium Hatchback award’ and ‘Deciding Car of the Gathering Categories’. In a short span it has also breached the magical sales figure of 100 thousand mark. The car is available in both the petrol and diesel version and comes in seven shades ranging from the Colorado Red,Ford Figo is the Most Awarded Hatchback Review Articles Chill, Diamond White, Moon Dust Silver, Panther Black, and Sea Grey to Squeeze. The prices start from Rs.3,49,900 and goes up to Rs. 5,29,900. It is also a strong contender in terms of the mileage delivering up to 14-18 kmpl (City-Highway). This deadly combo can surely ruffle a few feathers in the rival camps like the Hyundai i10, Maruti Swift and the Skoda Fabia.

Exteriors: The looks have the native pasta land effect aka the Italian touch. The front flat body too has the Italian style stamped on it and it gives a refreshingly new look. The design is not only high on style but also intelligence with an appeal that will suit both the young and old alike. The headlights are also not left behind in the style arena and the front grille further enhance the looks of the car with the signature of the company sure to steal a few beats of your heart. The exteriors of the car are simply awesome extending right up to impressive bumpers.

The Ford Figo is probably the giant in the B-segment market of India. The Maruti Swift falls short when compared to the length and also has a longer wheelbase than the fusion. The inside is not top notch, but the rear is decent with good comfortable seats. With regard to the leg space for the front occupants Ford has put it to good use.

Interior: The interior does not quite live up to the expectations but still manages to hold on its comfort level. The five seater luggage will never make you compromise with a spacious room inside. The dash board is spacey with a glove box. The seats and the toned beige are the main features of the inside. Currently they come in Coral IP and an Ebony black theme. Then there is the usual Audio system, AC, cup holders and seat belts etc. Surely the inside of the car has a lot to catch up in comparison with its counterparts like the Chevrolet Beat.

Engine and safety features:  The engine is available in both diesel and petrol variants. The high tech versions are bolstered with ABS, Intelligent central locking, engine immobilizer, seat belts, deceleration warning system and warning lights. The engines are available in 1.2 L petrol 1.4 L capacity. The Duratec petrol engine with SEFI technology delivers 70 bhp at 6,250 rpm with a torque of 102 Nm at 4000 rpm. The 1.4L CRDi diesel engine delivers 68 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 160 Nm at 2000 rpm. They power a whooping 100 kmpl in just 8 seconds.
