Is Your Car the Only Vehicle on Which You Perform an oil Change?

It is important for the life of the engine on your vehicle that you get an occasional oil change. Most manufacturers recommend that you get it changed between 3,000 and 5,000 miles. There are some new technologies available, however, that allow you to go longer without changing your oil. As long as the oil is staying clean, it is okay to go the longer distance, but if it is dirty when you check it, then you may want to consider changing your oil a little sooner. Many times your mechanic will place a sticker on your windshield with the mileage for the recommended oil change.

Motor oil is a lubricant for an internal combustion engine. It is usually used to keep the moving parts moist so as to reduce the wear and tear on your engine. Not only does it keep the parts moist, but also motor oil helps clean, cool, and seal these parts. There are two main types of motor oil, natural petroleum oil and synthetic chemical based oil. Most

It is important to have this filter changed each time that you have your regularly scheduled oil change. The engine also contains an oil pump to help get the engine parts lubricated faster.

Cars are not the only vehicles that need occasional oil changes, but any vehicle that has an internal combustion engine should have its oil changed occasionally.. These vehicles include your gas-powered lawn mower or snow blower so that it always performs at its best. If you own a seasonal recreation vehicle, such as a snow mobile, boat, or jet-ski, you should also get the oil changed in it to prevent the extra wear and tear on the engine. It is also important to have an oil change performed on your motorcycle or any other motored vehicle so that all its moving parts are always in their best working order.
