Mahindra & Mahindra, the leading SUV maker in India will look to further its position as the number one SUV maker. The Mahindra Xylo mini is expected to launch in a matter of few months after the diwali. The car will be a first of sorts in the entire Indian auto industry and will look to recreate the same hysteria similar to the XUV 500. The fabrication for the first of a kind SUV has already started at the Chakan plant in Pune. The car is expected to be priced around 4 to 5 lakhs.

The car will look to create a niche for itself in the B+ segment with its four meter size dimensions. The Mahindra Xylo mini will follow its predecessors’ footsteps in terms of the daring and adventurous looks. The Mahindra Xylo mini is also expected to be a lot more up graded in terms of the features and due its compact size. Mahindra Xylo mini will come with a 1.5L turbocharged, CRDi engine ripped off from the Mahindra’s 2.2L, M-Hawk range. The car will also be equipped with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox and is also expected to come with good performance in terms of the mileage. The car is expected to deliver a mileage of 10+ kmpl in the city areas and 15+ kmpl on highways.

On the outside the car has a nice mix of style and comfort that will make you to stand up and notice right from the first instant. The design of the car has been made in such a style that the car has a distinct manners that separates it from the rest of the pack. The insides of the car easily seats up to five people. The interior comforts will be taken care by the chromed inner door handles, sporty cockpit, leather interiors, sporty cockpit, drive selection and parking brake levers and much more. This in fact will be the starting of new mission from the M&M automotive division said CEO Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, who also added that the company have loads of pipelined offshoots which will be looking to create a huge ripple for the upcoming 2012 in the Indian market.

Apart from this one can also expect the company to set foray into the hatchback market in India targeting the entry level customers and small car segment. The Mahindra Xylo has already proved its mettle and in fact running successfully with the ‘Happy Legs’ campaign and there is not much doubt about the success of the Mahindra mini Xylo as well. However, only time will tell success of the small car foray and other new ventures of the company. The Mahindra Xylo mini will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20. The Mahindra Xylo Mini price is cheaper compared to the Xylo but it is expected to be the same quality of the Mahindra Xylo standard. However, the mini avatar will be a bit trimmed in terms of the high-end luxurious features to bring down the Mahindra Xylo Mini price around Rs. 5 lakh in comparison with its standard Mahindra Xylo price which is Rs. 7 lakh plus.
