Maruti Suzuki has put a lot of efforts to manufacture its premium crossover from looks to engine the company designed this with all its potential. In interior, the car receives all black interior to look sportier. With some extra specs for top versions including start-stop button, cruise control, touch-screen music system, navigation, leather seats, auto headlamps, reverse parking camera and sensors.

On the exterior front, the car features big headlamps and chrome grille on the front side. The ground clearance of Maruti S-Cross is 180mm that not look to good and side profile is the chink in the armour: it is not enough tall to be called as crossover. While the car also missing rare AC vents and charging point at the back.

Maruti S-Cross is offered in two diesel units. The 1.6 litre turbocharged DDiS 320 unit produce maximum power output of 120 bhp and torque of 320Nm. While 1.3 litre turbocharged DDiS 200 diesel engine churns out 90 bhp of power and 200Nm of torque is similar to one on the Ciaz and Ertiga with a five speed manual transmission powering the front. And the 1.6 litre Fiat engine is coupled with six speed automatic transmission.

Maruti Suzuki claims the ARAI rated mileage of 23.65 kmpl for 1.3 litre diesel unit and 22.70 kmpl for the 1.6 litre turbocharged diesel engine. The Maruti S-Cross is comfortable for four persons to fit and the extra one on the rear bench is a bit uncomfortable due to its width.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available in 7 trims- with the starting car price of Rs.8.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top end costs Rs.13.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
