Nissan 370Z Makes Its Long Anticipated Debut

The iconic Nissan Z Series welcomes a new model. The 370Z is out, the latest iteration of the gorgeous coupe.

The next generation model in Nissan's iconic “Z” series,Nissan 370Z Makes Its Long Anticipated Debut Articles the 370Z, has made its debut. Equipped with its six speed standard transmission, the coupe retails for a base price of $29,930 while the model sporting the seven speed automatic transmission will be sold at a starting price of $31,230. Add about $4500 to the price of each option if the Coupe Touring model is chosen. Prices exclude all applicable tax, title and license fees; each dealer sets is own pricing so shop around.

The 370Z debut is critical to the ongoing image build of the Z series brand. To that end, Nissan is offering a number of packages that enthusiasts will crave including a Sport Package, priced at $3,000, which includes 19-inch RAYS forged wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires; aerodynamic front and rear spoiler; larger Nissan Sport Brakes, SynchroRev Match (6-speed manual transmission only); and Viscous Limited Slip Differential. A Navigation Package, priced at $1,850, includes Hard Drive-based Nissan Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive and Interface System for iPod(R).

Nissan is marketing the 370Z by emphasizing three attributes for the coupe: performance, design and value. This latest model offers less weight, more power and enhanced handling, quality and style. Thanks to a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, choice of two advanced transmissions and a full array of driver-oriented interior features, you wouldn't be wrong to conclude that the new 370Z is one of the top performance values in the world.

As for exterior styling, the 370Z's new from the ground up aerodynamic body is more compact and offers a more aggressive stance than the 350Z, the model it replaces. Detailed attention has been give to what Nissan calls "boomerang" headlights and taillights attributes which helps to alter its dynamic presence, elevating the whole styling to a much higher quality level than previously. The new interior utilizes a driver-centric three-layer design which groups items by how a driver sees information, operates the controls and is held in place so that drivers feel completely connected and engaged as they drive.
