Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X-Trail SUV is a 4.6 meter length available. Structurally remains the same as the model that came to market in 2001, which in 2008 was renovated aesthetically and mechanically.

In 2010 he received cosmetically, trim and engine range. In September 2012 the equipment is updated slightly. The X-Trail is available exclusively with a diesel engine 2.0 dCi 150 hp, previously had a choice other diesel engine of 173 hp and a 169 hp gasoline and is always linked to an AWD system.

Both gearboxes were revised in 2010 in order to reduce fuel consumption, in the modified manual transmission developments in automatic and decreased friction between the components.

The Nissan X-Trail with 150 hp diesel engine is 6100 Euros more expensive than a Renault Koleos with the same engine and similar equipment and is priced a little lower than a Land Rover Freelander 2 and a Mitsubishi Outlander.

Design and equipment

In relation to the 2008 model, the changes in appearance that receives the X-Trail in 2010 are shallow. The most significant are in the front. At the rear, among other minor modifications, pilots protrude LEDs. Because the body has different parts, all dimensions increase slightly (it measures 4.64 m long, 1.79 m wide and 1.70 m high). Another effect is that the aerodynamic drag is slightly smaller as the CX goes from 0.36 to 0.35.

Inside vary some coating materials, the seats and the dashboard: the speedometer and tachometer are larger and easier to read. Between them there is a screen with white indicators that give much information to the driver. Among other functions more or less common, is one that warns the driver when to take a break and a gearshift indicator for consumption is minimized. It also improves the ventilation system for the cabin caldee faster in cold and warm weather so cool before. The glove box can be cooled and heated.

The X-Trail is available in three trim levels: "XE", "SE" and "LE". All versions come as standard with six airbags, climate control, stability control and alloy wheels, 17 inches in the "XE" and "SE" and 18 inches in the "LE" -.

Since September 2012 there available two new items of equipment, both standard on the level 'LE' and optional on the rest, One of them is what Nissan calls "Around View Monitor", a system that from the images taken by cameras installed in the grille, tailgate and door mirrors gives an overhead view of the vehicle. It is the same system that has the Nissan Qashqai from September 2011 and similar to other brands such as BMW they call it "Top view".

The other new item of equipment is the 'Nissan Connect', which is a 5-inch screen where coalesce all functions related to radio and CD system, navigationFree Articles, hands-free phone connection with "Bluetooth" and management devices "iPod" and "USB".

Other interesting items of equipment are heated rear seats (front can also have it) and the rear view camera. It can display the image in a part of the interior mirror. Nissan has developed this option for customers who do not choose the navigation system.
