Having an oil change is important and part of that is changing the filter as well. The filter has an important job just as the oils in the engine do.

The filter is actually very important to the way your car runs. It is what keeps large pieces of dirt and other particles out of your engine. Newer vehicles and newer oils allow for longer periods of time between changes. So whether you take your car in for an oil change or you do it yourself at home, you now know the importance of the filter to the running of your engine. Do not ever neglect the filter when doing the change thinking it is less important than having clean oils. They work together to get the job done right.
