CO2 is toxic, and while it is a natural by-product when we burn petrol it's a good idea to reduce them if we can. Again, newer cars are much more efficient in this regard, and the last nationwide campaign for scrap cars bears this out. New cars on average emit about 50 grams of CO2 per kilometre less than cars over a decade old.

Multiply that 50 grams over hundreds of thousands of vehicles, and the result is a significant reduction in the emission of CO2. That means cleaner air for everyone in the UK. Who doesn't want to breathe cleaner air after all?

Using Authorized Treatment Facilities

In order to help the environment (and avoid legal troubles besides), it is best that everyone should use car disposal companies, which are duly authorized. These companies have been inspected to see that they comply with regulations, which prevent them from carelessly disposing of toxic materials into the earth, air, and water. These facilities instead have the means of disposing all these dangerous toxins properly and without harm to the environment.

In addition, the scrap metal is then harvested so that they can be reused. Mining for metals isn't exactly helpful to the environment, and by recycling metal, we can lower the demand for new metal and lessen the amount of toxic by-products of mining.
