You love your dog, right? Well, Rover wants you to have auto repair performed on your car.
Auto repair is good for every member of the family including the dog. Without a reliable mode of transportation,
the whole household will suffer. Moms, Dads, kids and the family pooches want the sedan, truck or SUV in tiptop shape in order to drive to all the best places in town. Here are some of the places that each of these family members will have a difficult time getting to and from unless the auto is properly maintained. While humans can take public transportation or ride a bike, remember that canines cannot.
Where Moms and Dads can't go without a working mode of transportation:
To work: The heads-of-the-household must get to their places of employment or there won't be any money to pay for a roof over everyone's head, food to eat and clothes for the gang to wear.
To the grocery store: In order for the fridge to be stocked with milk, bread, butter, cheese, fruits and vegetables, the parents of the group must be able to stop off at the local grocers. It's difficult to schlep groceries home on a bus.
To the movies: Date night won't be far from home if there's no working vehicle in the garage or carport to drive to the Multiplex.
Where the kids can't go without a functional automobile:
Play dates: Little Jimmy and Joanie won't be able to go play at their friends' houses if they can't be driven there. Sure, there are a few kids in the neighborhood, but not the ones from school who are teaching them to play chess or build a skateboard ramp.
School: Well, if there's a school bus, the kids might still be able to get to and from elementary school, junior high and high school, but what about all the extracurricular activities like band practice and soccer?
Birthday parties: When Jimmy and Joanie are invited to birthday parties at bowling alleys, skating rinks and the public swimming pool, they won't be able to attend without a vehicle driven by Mom or Dad. Carpooling will be possible sometimes, but not always. No auto will hamper their social connections and fun. If they don't go to other kids' parties, it's likely that no one will attend theirs, either. So please for their sake, head to the auto repair shop regularly.
Where Rover and Fido won't be able to go:
The dog park: Your dogs adore the dog park, don't they? They run around and sniff everything. They chase all the other dogs around and are the happiest canine campers around. Imagine telling them that there's no way to transport them to their beloved outing.
Pet food store: Pet food stores that allow pets to shop, too, are fun for the whole family. This shop is a sniff-o-rama for kings! Perusing the aisle with boxes of treats, smelling those 50 lb. bags of every imaginable combination of dehydrated meats and veggies - now, that's living, in the world of man's best friend.
When a family fails to maintain their vehicle or perform auto repair when it's needed, everyone suffers. Making sure to stay on top of oil changes, brake jobs, and tune ups will keep parents, kids and pups at peace in the world.
