Installing a truck cap
For installing a truck cap, you will require a large blanket. Spread that blanket on a soft surface, preferable a green lawn or any unpaved road. You will require someone who will help you in flipping the truck cap over on the surface of the blanket.

Once you have flipped the truck cap cover over the blanket, apply adhesive foam to the edges of the truck cap. Ensure that you do not apply adhesive on the rear window/door and the side with adhesive must go to the bottom of the cap. You can get the adhesive for tuck caps in Binghamton, NY at any hardware store.

Now, check the type of your truck and monitor changes if any. Once you are sure that your truck cap can be fixed to your truck, open the tailgate of your truck. Flip the cap back over and place it on the bed of your truck. Ensure your fingers are not in contact with adhesive and the corners. Align the cap properly and it will automatically lay on your truck. Walk forward until you rest the truck cap on the bed rails.

Aligning the cap to your truck bed is the next step for installing your tuck cap. You will need two aluminium clamps for aligning the truck cap with the truck bed. Crawl down the back of the pickup and then align these aluminium clamps as close to the front bed of your truck as possible.

Tighten the aluminium clamps with ratchet and a socket. You can tighten them with your hands and move along with the installation process. Ensure the tail gate is closed so that the rear window of your truck cap can close easily and properly. You can make adjustments to the alignment of your truck cap.

For perfect alignment, close the rear window and apply the lock properly using its handle. Now fix the remaining two aluminium clamps into the back of your truck and tighten down the sockets and ratchets. You will have to drill a hole in the rear left taillight for wiring. Thread the wiring through the hole made and peel, strip, and butt connect the mount brake light. This completes the installation process.
