People who enjoy 4x4 vehicles have a choice between purchasing a new one or a used one. There can be excellent buys on either type,The Benefits of a New 4x4 Articles but a new 4wd has several major benefits and advantages over a used one.

The Warranty

A new 4x4 will offer the buyer the full manufacturer's warranty. Few used ones can say this. The warranty on a new one will cover the repair and servicing of most of the major systems, including the engine, transmission, drive train, electrical system, heating and cooling system, and most interior electronic malfunctions.

Whether a person buys a new or a used 4x4, the odds are they'll be spending a substantial amount of money. But since they'll always be spending more on a new one, it's essential and better to have the financial protection and overall coverage that only a complete manufacturer's warranty offers.

Better Drivability

A new 4x4 will invariably drive much better than a used one simply because there will usually be much less mileage on it. This translates into improved performance, including better acceleration, handling, steering, and braking. A used 4x4 is going to have many more problem areas in the suspension, brakes, tires, transmission, and differential. The overall increased drivability of a new one will make the riding experience safer, more comfortable, more rugged, and more enjoyable for both driver and passengers. The driver will be able to feel the true, full power train experience that only a new 4x4 can provide.

Less Maintenance

With a new 4x4, there will always be less repairs and service required. That's because it comes out of the factory fresh and strong. All parts are brand new so they'll function much better and last much longer. Less maintenance also translates into less money to be spent on repairs. It also means less time in the repair shop. Less down time and more time to enjoy driving it.

Much less money will have to be spent on the many small and irritating repairs that are often necessary on a used 4x4. These repairs that a new one most likely would not need for quite some time include new wiper blades, a new muffler and exhaust system, a recharging of the air conditioning system, a major tune up, and new shocks and struts. This will save the new 4x4 owner substantive amounts of aggravation in the short term as well.

Will Last Longer

Because it's brand new, if you buy a 4WD never used before will give its owner more mileage. All the major systems and parts should easily last nine to ten years or more for just one owner. This is about how long the typical new 4x4 buyer keeps his vehicle. And even if he trades it in or sells it down the road, it will still be able to endure the heavy and rigorous driving conditions for around a decade of superior workmanship.

Looks Nicer

A new 4x4 just has that glowing look about it. Unlike a used one, it's not going to have any dents, dings, scratches or major body damage. There won't be any rusty areas or sections where parts are hanging off and are about to crack and break. The tires and wheels will definitely look shinier.

The metal paint will gleam in the sun and in the rain the water will beautifully bead up from the fresh coat of wax that the factory rubbed on. It will make its owner much prouder to be seen next to it than a used 4x4 will. Very few used ones won't have some unappealing and noticeable damage somewhere inside or outside of the vehicle. A new one will look more expensive and richer because of this wondrous look.
