The Best European Car Events

Americans love to go to car fairs, which apart from displaying some very cool cars, are an opportunity to meet people that have the same passion as you and share your thoughts and views about the cars you love. That's why there are lots of car fairs across the country where car enthusiasts can spend a couple of days admiring all kinds of vehicles. Those of you who are willing to go abroad to visit some of the best car fairs outside the North American continent, can go to Europe and see what this type of events look like there. You could go to England and attend the transport festival Truckfest, or you could visit the Power Big Meet in Sweden.

Truckfest, England

This is a show that is centered around truck drivers. It's an annual trucking event, that is held in the city of Peterborough, England, and it's one of the most popular shows of its kind in the world. This year it will be held on May 5th and 6th, and visitors will be able to see more than 1,000 trucks. Although it's an event that is held in Europe, all the major American truck manufacturers take part in it, along with the most popular European names, such as Iveco and Scania.

Apart from the parade of trucks from all over the world, the show offers a couple of other events that can be enjoyed by both kids and grown-ups. There are appearances by various celebrities, cartoon characters and other children's attractions, that will keep your kids entertained, while parents can enjoy stunt bike events and monster truck shows. Each year, the Truckfest ends with a spectacular firework and a live music show.

Power Big Meet, Sweden

The Power Big Meet is held in the Swedish city of Vasteras, and is considered to be one of the largest vintage car shows in the world. It will be held from July 3rd through July 7th, and visitors can admire more than 10,000 classic cars that are displayed there. You can see vintage cars that are more than 50 years old, and the highlights from previous years include a 1966 Pontiac Tempest, a 1961 Lincoln Continental, and a 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle, which are some of the rarest classic cars. This year, you can expect to see a lot of Mopars and Ford Mustangs, as well as some pretty cool and unique hot rods and custom vehicles.
