If you've found a dealership that you know is going to treat you right and not try to sell you something that you won't work right once you leave the lot you might have to do some compromising. That doesn't mean that you won't be able to find exactly what you want in a car, it might just come in the form of a slightly different than the one you had in mind.

Good dealerships will also allow you to take your car by a mechanic you trust and have it checked out to ensure that you are getting a vehicle that runs right, and won't cause a lot of trouble the minute you get it home.

Finding a used car dealer that is as good as his word is trying sometimes. With so many out there that practice less than desirable business practices it's easy to understand why people shy away from them. It might take some searching and a little homework but you can find a dealership that has a vehicle for you and they won't be selling you a lemon.
