Visit the Auto Shop for a New Paint Job

When your car gets hit in an accident or even in a small fender bender, you will not want to drive it around that way for long. It may not necessarily be because you do not like the look, but you just do not want the area rusting or growing worse. This being the case you will want to find an auto shop that does paint jobs and other detail work. 

A paint job can be quite expensive, so if you were in an accident you may want to see if your insurance will cover this part of the repairs as well as the more extensive ones. Once you find this out, you will want to start searching for the right auto shop. Not all shops will work in paint and detail, so it may take some time to find one that you will want to go to. 

You might start by looking on the internet for shops. Some shops that do good work may not have a website, but they may at least have their addresses on the internet. You may want to start by looking at the ones that do have websites, and while you are researching those, you could ask around to friends or family to see if they know of any place that does quality paint jobs on cars. After looking through the websites and asking around, you may have a few options to look into. You will want to include the ones without websites in a list to contact as well.

Once you have a list, start calling through. You will want to take note of the businesses that are customer-friendly. They should treat you with respect even before they know what you are calling about. They should be up front with you about the cost of their work as well. You might run across businesses that are not into customer service. If you run across these, just go on to the next. Those businesses will soon learn that they need to improve that area no matter how good they are at their job. After you have called around, you may want to take some of those names and check for reviews online. People who have had both good and bad experiences will often want to share them.

You might not get a complete view of an auto shop until you actually go to visit. Once you have ruled out some of the businesses on your list, then you can go to each shop that is left on your list and actually check it out in person. You may find that some of the businesses seem like a hole in the wall. This does not mean that they will do a poor job, but you should make sure that the business is licensed and insured. Make sure that they still have good customer service in person, and ask them if they can give you a written estimate or quote on your car paint job. From here you can compare among the other shops and find the best auto shop for you.
