Volvo S60 is an upcoming model of Volvo India. Volvo is famous for luxury and safety. Volvo Cars is the passenger vehicle maker using the Volvo trademark, owned by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. The Volvo not only manufactures cars but also trucks, buses and construction equipment. The brand is very popular globally which belongs to Sweden. It has a history of mare than 80 years in India. It does not have any manufacturing plants in India but it has only dealerships in several cities like Hyderabad etc across the country. 

It is a Luxury sedan, no need to explain about safety and luxury of the car because the brand is obvious for it. The Volvo S60 will compete with other luxury brands like Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class in global market. What makes the sedan special than its competitors, it is the price tag. It is cheaper than its competitors. It will give a strong competition to Volkswagen Golf, Maruti Suzuki Kizashi and other similar models.

Interiors - When someone enters into the car, they will sure astonish with the interior of the car. It makes people so comfort with a huge leg space better than any other cars. Volvo has put so much of effort to design the interior. The quality of the leather used inside the car is good and it is neatly carved on the seats. It will not give chances to anyone to complaint about interiors. Everyone will put their finger on the mouth. The cameras inside the car will the car to see ‘obstacle’ in its path, the car automatically stops even if the driver does not react. It shows the safety measure that has taken by Volvo for its customers.    

Engine –The Company will offer the S60 with two engine options, turbocharged and 6 cylinders. The luxury sedan has 304bhp @ 5600rpm and has torque of 440Nm between 2100-4200 rpm. The diesel engine of the car with 5 cylinders will offer 205bhp@4000 and 420Nm of torque between 1500-3250 rpm. The engine power and the speed of the car is superb, driver will feel that he is conquered the road.

Exteriors - The body of the car has an impact of Scandinavian design which makes the car cute. The subtle classic lines and taunt sporty lines on the car gives pleasure to your eyes, it has little lights on the snout. The bonnet flows muscularly down on the front grill and on the fold are these neat lights will gives better look for the car. The head lights of the car looks very young and youthful and the clean lines flow seamlessly from the front to the sporty rear and clearly bring out a rather sporty stance. 

Volvo currently selling two of its models in market that is Volvo S80 and Volvo XC90 and Volvo S60 will be yet to add in its portfolio. The Company is planning to launch S60 in mid 2011. The price toll of this sedan will fall around 35 lakhs in India.
