There is a sentiment out there that says that if you don't want it all, or are not doing it all, then you must not really be living as freely as you would like. But these things cost money, and it takes time to acquire most things in life.

In today's world there are so many choices of how to spend one's own money that sometimes it can be a little overwhelming with just how many choices are available to the average person. Often times, human beings can get very wrapped up in making choices that do not necessarily suit their specific tastes or interests. This is commonly the case because of upbringing or other dogmas associated with living a life in a modern world. Take for instance that idea that owning a BMW can bring one person a huge amount of joy, while someone else may want to take that money and go to Spain.

In American culture owning a BMW carries a lot of symbolism and other associations relating to a variety of areas. BMW not only has a place in the pop culture world, but it also means that you value quality craftsmanship and high design over just another piece of steel that takes you from one place to another. Many people consider owning a BMW at the top of their list of when they make it big, or if they had the car of their dreams. BMW just has that significance for many people out there. And why not, since these vehicles have a strong and long reputation for being some of the best vehicles ever to be made. Some people spend their entire lives trying to afford a vehicle such as this. So if you are thinking of buying one, you may need to have a really good job or have saved for a long period of time.

On the other end of the spending spectrum, there are those people who are not at all interested in owning high end or high performance vehicles as part of their life experience. These people choose to live their life acquiring life experiences rather than monetary possessions. However, these life experiences do come with a price tag as well. Many people equate a good life with traveling to Europe or even having a multitude of degrees. Travel and education are both two high priority elements that many people in America dream for themselves. These life experiences can also be very worthy goals worth achieving.

There are those out there that want it all. Having the best and fastest car ever designed, being a world traveler, and calling yourself doctor along the way. Why not do it all, as that is what life is for. However, it may be advisable that these things are not usually attained all at the same time.
