3 New Ways to Fundraise

Even if a fan is not interested in your charity, they will certainly be interested in the donated item.

There are more charities for good causes than ever. How can you get people to choose your charity to donate to over the other 999,999? By doing one or more of these eye-opening and interesting money-raising promotions.

Celebrity Donations

EBay online auctions have become the standard for many charitable fundraisers. But you should not offer predictable, every day items. You need items donated by local, national or international celebrities. All a celebrity needs to do is autograph a publicity photo or another item like a record album or item of clothing. Celebrities have incredibly devoted followers that put the “fan” in “fanatic.” Even if a fan is not interested in your charity, they will certainly be interested in the donated item.

Jail Auctions

Another fun way to raise money is a twist on charitable runs. Who really wants to pound the pavement for miles and miles in order to earn so many cents per mile? A better alternative is to auction off volunteers to spend time in a fake jail, which is usually nothing more than a very large dog crate. If your fund raiser is for a school, then the kids and their teachers will be interested in raising enough money to put the principal in jail for a few hours.

Music Videos

There are many free websites where you can post a music video about your charity and then link it back to your webpage. Special effects are easy to come by in software programsArticle Submission, but it’s more important to have a good original song sung well than special effects. Using an original song will not get you into any copyright problems.
