#6 Read about recycling. Kids love story books! There are countless fun stories about recycling to get them excited about the topic. Some, like The Lorax, have been favorites for generations.
#7 Make it into a game. Play games to help kids practice which items can be recycled, and which are waste. Maybe it's a matching game or a trivia contest.
#8 Go on a recycling scavenger hunt. Head out to a nearby park and see how much you can collect from the environment that can be recycled! This serves a second purpose of getting your child outside to foster a love of nature. Those who love to be outside in nature's splendor will naturally want to keep it as beautiful and clean as possible.
