Trisha had known that something was going on weeks ago. Bubba's schedule was always a little unpredictable since he drove trucks for a living,An End to Doubt: GPS Fleet Tracking Articles but something in his demeanor had changed recently. There were never any obvious signs, just little things- the way he answered questions about work, an extra pause here or a strange look there after coming home late. It was just enough for her to know that something had changed, but not enough to make any concrete accusations. The first night she thought that Bubba might be cheating on her, he arrived at home 3 hours later than he should have been. The route that week lasted for 4 days; he had called on the day before his return to let Trisha know he'd be back at about 7PM the next day. The next night there was no phone call from Bubba and no Bubba at 7PM. Though he usually let her know when he was going to be late, it wasn't until their conversation at 10 o'clock that she knew something was wrong. "Well hello, stranger. Where've you been?" Trisha rose from the couch in the living room and crossed the threshold into the kitchen. The linoleum floor squeaked under her bare feet. "Where haven't I been?" joked Bubba, smiling as he grabbed a beer from the fridge. "Another 2 thousand miles under my belt. If mile was a dollar I'd be a millionaire, I reckon!" Trisha chuckled softly as she lit a cigarette. "Well you sure are in a good mood for a fellow who's traveled that much in 4 days," she said as she crossed the room and planted a kiss on Bubba's cheek. "Well the weather's right nice, that's all," he replied. "Why, with weather like this I could drive 2000 more!" After years of Bubba coming home tired and irritable after a long stretch of road, she was surprised to find him in a good mood that late at night. At the time she didn't think much of it, but after a few warning signs Trisha was convinced that something funny was going on. The last straw was when Bubba called to let Trisha know he would be gone an extra day on the road. She didn't trust the tone of his voice and had to end the conversation quickly before she began to yell. She'd sat on the kitchen floor fuming until the idea struck her. "They use some kind of GPS fleet tracking computers to make sure we don't speed," Bubba had complained one night. Well now he'd have real reason to complain when the GPS fleet tracking betrayed him one more time. It was late evening when she arrived at Bubba's company headquarters and knocked on the door. The manager on duty answered the door cautiously, and it took some convincing before the nervous man let her check the GPS fleet tracking information to make sure that her husband was safe. "I think you'll be downright surprised at what we'll find," she had said, and she was right. The pale manager turned a shade paler when he saw Bubba's dot on the map marked "Off-Duty", hovering over a residential area. Before he could gather his thoughts, he heard the door behind him slam, soon followed by the squealing of tires outside of the building. The manager paused by the phone for a moment, only to turn back to the GPS fleet tracking screen. He'd be watching that dot for the rest of the evening.
