When you talk to women who have "real" jobs, with bosses, nasty customers, or office politics, you will hear a lot of horror stories. Many people who work in full-time jobs are extremely unhappy and have a sense of hopelessness about them, knowing that the torture will only end when they turn 65, and that is if they are able to retire at all.

Articles there are those lucky few who do have a full-time job that they love, and in which they are paid the amount of money that they deserve, but there aren't a lot of those. What you will find, however, is that women in small business are generally a lot happier, have higher self-esteem and confidence, and are healthier than people who go to a regular job.

There are many reasons why women in small business are happier, but it all starts with the fact that they are usually taking part in a business that they enjoy. Even if it is working on the computer, they are in an environment that makes them happy, and their job doesn't take them away from other things that they love, and people, too!

Women in small business generally make much more than hourly or salaried employees, and because they know they are building a future for both themselves and their family, they often don't mind working those extra hours because they reap the rewards themselves. When you work hard for an employer, you are lucky if you get paid extra, but when you work hard for yourself, you always get something in return, even if it is just feeling good about what you are doing.

Working for yourself and starting up your own business is a wonderful option no matter what your age, and one that can bring in a regular and substantial income.
