At present, fine chemicals EC formulations still occupy an absolutely dominant position. It plays an important role in pest control in China. In over 50 varieties of EC registration, among them, 49 belong to the pesticides.

There are 22 active ingredients in the registration whose control objects 10-hydroxydecanoic acid are over 200. There are only 10 active ingredients in the ones whose control objects are more than 500. They are concentrated in organophosphorus,Chinese fine chemicals EC formulations still occupy an absolutely dominant position Articles pyrethroid avermectin pesticide and acetochlor herbicide. The registrations whose control objects are over 1000 have six varieties.

Statistics according to the types of pesticides, over 50 of the EC registration number of pesticide varieties, which accounted for the vast majority of pesticides, accounting for 83.8% of the number of statistics accounted for 12.8%, herbicides, fungicides accounted for only 3.4%. Each year, about 19 kinds of output over 5000 tons of pesticide products, including 11 kinds of pesticides for the EC formulation of the total 60%, and the vast majority of the insecticide.

Countries with a high level of application of botanical pesticides, but the main products or cream formulations. Many of the fine chemical agents, organic solvents containing up to 80%, even 90%. Exports, traditional EC formulations can only be sold to developed countries, Western developed countries to restrict imports of EC formulations of botanical pesticides lead salicylate. In a sense, the use of toxic solvents reduces the safety of botanical pesticides, has become one of the factors that limit the development of botanical pesticides.

At the same time, for the development trend for the EC, China should develop environment friendly fine EC solvent and develop high concentrations EC to replace conventional EC. Meanwhile, they should develop water-based formulations to replace EC. The green solvents can replace dangerous aromatic hydrocarbon solvents and polar solvents with the use of easily degradable surfactants. The development and promotion of environment-friendly EC is one of the directions for EC development. It is the sustainable development requirement for the community.
